It has been a long
tradition of Jake's preschool to participate in the Lilac Day Parade. Adam and his parents did this when Adam attended the same preschool in the 80s. The parents and kids decorate wagons to fit the theme of the parade. This years theme was "Everyday
Heroes" and of course Jake wanted to make a fire engine. In the spirit of Lombard (and Daddy's work) Adam decorated the wagon to look just like a local engine.

I am very lucky I married someone handy or the wagon would have just had pictures of fire engine taped to it.

Waiting for the parade to start.

Jake and his teacher. He just loves her. He will have her again next year and I have asked her not to retire until she has Abbie Girl.

Hanging out with his teacher.

That is one special wagon, Jake! You sure are one lucky little guy.
Wow! I'm impressed! Adam did a great job and Jake couldn't look more proud:) How nice of him to hang out with his teacher!
You are one lucky little boy, Jake!
Jake, you could make the fireman calender with your adorable little face, the baby version that is!
What an AWESOME mini-float! Looks like you guys had a great time. That's so neat that Adam and Jake both got to participate in that--do you have any pictures of Adam's float?
I am sure Adam's mom has some pics. I'll have to ask her to dig them out for scrapbooking purposes.
