Jake has had a mohawk for a little over 2 years. It started off as a joke since his hair stuck up so bad in the back no matter what we did. As time went on we always asked him if he wanted to keep it and he would reply, "Yes! I like the mohawk." When people would tell Jake, "Hey little guy I like your hair." Jake would smile and say, "It's a mohawk." On Sunday I went to trim up the mohawk since he was looking pretty shaggy and I started with the sides---nice and short. Then I asked, "Do you still want your mohawk?" Of course I started with the sides since I assumed the answer was going to be Yes-----but to my surprise the answer was, "I don't want a mohawk anymore." What????? Really??? I stood Jake in front of the mirror and explained to him that all of his hair was going bye bye and he said OK. SO........
Here are the results!
After the haircut he looked in the mirror and said, " I handsome now. Like Dada" And there was the reason he didn't want a mohawk anymore :)
Maybe Jake will be fond of Dada's hairstyle here?? (Adam was Joey Ramone for Halloween 2007) Let's hope Abbie doesn't want Dada's hairstyles either!!!

That is a sweet reason, and he can always bring back later, you don't see too many of them around these days!
I told him after we cut it that if he wanted he could grow it back. He replied, "Ok mama. Hair grows like garden."
How sweet that he wants to be like his daddy! Awh!
I wish I thought of that all of the times I cried over hair cut shorter than I wanted:p Jake has such a cute personality:) Abbie does too though:)

I don't have any days scheduled so far, but that could change. They wanted me to sub on the 15, but Adam took overtime and he makes 3X what I would make at Hester. If anything comes up I'll let you know :)
